Alternative Route 1 (via Central Asia): Kazakh or Uzbek-licensed TIR trucks loaded at Khorgos/Alashankou, transiting through Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan into Afghanistan, 14-17 days. Used when the Khunjerab Pass is seasonally closed or Pakistan transit is congested.
